Katie | Senior 2011 | 10.27.10

Mondays are busy days.  It's the begining of the work week around here after 1 day off.  One day!!  That's all it takes to make your to do list quite a bit longer!!  But, the Monday I met Katie was fabulous!  I headed out to Panera for a wedding consultation, which I believe went quite well, considering I booked it.  :)  Next on the list was meeting up with Katie for her senior session.  She rocked it out!!  And she told me she wasn't very photogenic.

As most people know, mom comes along on our sessions as the official...well, everything BUT the photographer!  :)  This shot was her idea - gotta admit, it's pretty good.

Most seniors don't want a fall look in their pictures. But, Katie loves the fall!!

What a great job they did of picking three totally different looks.  This outfit was my favorite!

These next two are simply...stunning.

For Katie, things are a little different.  It's not sports she's involved in, but drama!!
And along with drama, she loves to read.  When her mom mentioned
bringing a Shakespeare book well, this is what I saw in my head....

Thank you for such a fabulous session, Katie!!

Braeden 1 year | 10.25.10

This is when we first met Braeden...

Look at him now!  I couldn't believe it when I went back thru his newborn pictures,
such a sweet little boy.  What an honor it has been to be a part of Braeden's first year.
I must admit, he is one of my favorite babies.  :)

"A boy's story is the best that is ever told."
                   - Charles Dickens

We just can't get over how big Braeden looks in this next shot!

Silly boy!

Mrs. Holli brought along one of Braeden's favorite toys...a tunnel!  The minute he got in,
I saw a huge smile spread across his face.  :)  Once he got to one end, he would just turn right
around going towards the other.  I believe he was quite amused!

After being so good for a while, then shedding a few tears, he gave me one last
stare down as a tear was rolling down his cheek.  So precious!!

Braeden loves his mom so much.  He just decided to relax with her for a while, it was hilarious!

Last shot - a for sure favorite.

Mrs. Holli, thank you so much for allowing us to capture Braeden's first year!  We have all loved watching him grow and can't wait to see more of you both.

Bailey Brothers | 10.22.10

Two brothers, two completely different personalities.  Such a great session!  You'd never know by looking at this picture that there is rivalry between these boys.

There's a sparkle in this smile.  That's just what the color does to ya! :)
I mean who wouldn't be happy wearing orange?

Maybe that person would be Cole...

Race is on.  Like the orange out front!!  :)

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young,
but set an example for the believers
in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.  -1Timothy 4:12

I don't know what you think, but personally this could be the next president of the United States.
But before that, how about Mayor of Richmond?!

Because Cole loves history, we couldn't resist a few pictures on the courthouse square.

Confidence is all about knowing who you are...a child of God, loved beyond measure.

We had a great time with the whole family (mom and dad were behind the scenes)!  Looking forward to next spring and getting to do their family together.

Ingram Family | 10.18.10

For many of you, one of these faces will be quite familiar!  That's because when you see our sample prints, this little girl is in the image you see...

Since Larkyn's 6 year old session two years ago, we have been talking about doing a family session.
Yes, I said two years!  [Mom always says to us - time passes so quickly.]  Many times when someone
schedules a session, it's for their children, but don't miss the blessing of including your entire family.

It is so special to incorporate things you enjoy into your shoot. Who doesn't love a picnic?!

While we try to teach our children all about life,
our children teach us what life is all about.
- Angela Schwindt

Larkyn came bounding towards me in this absolutely dreamy outfit.
Fabulous outfit + 8 pink balloons = crazy good shots!
Let me tell you, I was one happy photographer at that moment!!  I knew I got the shot.

Oh!  And one more thing.  We just want to settle on this.
Photographers aren't the only ones who have difficulty focusing!

Let your heart therefore be wholly devoted to the LORD our God,
to walk in His statutes and to keep His commandments.

Happy Birthday, Leigha & Braeden! [Cousins] 10.18.10

Since being back on campus here at University of the Cumberlands, my weekends are pretty packed with different events, and yes - I hate to say it - lots of homework.  However, there was one day that I kept open on my calendar from the very beginning... the Saturday of Leigha & Braeden's 1st birthday party!

Talk about a birthday party done right!  Holli did a great job - from the balloons to ordering the cakes, everything was beautiful!  We were so excited to get to see Leigha.  We hadn't seen her in quite a while, and although she has really grown, as soon as I saw those big, shining, blue eyes - I knew it was the same baby!

We've had the opportunity to watch Mr. Braeden closely this past year as he has grown up.
We felt so honored to receive an invitation to his first birthday party!

So let me ask you...who's spoiling who?!

It was hilarious to watch the different cake-eating approaches.
Leigha just kicked back and kinda licked on the icing...

Braeden however... wasted no time in demolishing a piece of
his own birthday cake before moving on to a piece of Leigha's!

Sleeping princess.

How amazing you're already ONE!
What a precious little person you've become!

We love you Leigha & Braeden!
