80 Acres | Hudnall Wedding | 11.20.15

The sun broke through the clouds just in time for the ceremony.  Corey's smile was wide as he greeted guests and escorted his mom down the aisle to her seat.  Alicia and her bridesmaids crowded around the loft windows, enjoying the vantage point, excitedly awaiting the cue to come down the staircase.  The expressions in the crowd as father and daughter made their way down the aisle were happy ones, with a few sweet tears mixed in.  The vows were heartfelt and lovingly spoken.  (And the ring exchange brought a bit of humor as the matron of honor made a mad dash up and down the loft stairs for Corey's ring. :) )

Introducing… Mr. & Mrs. Corey Hudnall!

Alicia's group of gals were such fun to be around, and added a lot of laughter to the day!

When we asked Alicia to tell us a little bit about her fianc√© at our first meeting,
she laughed and smiled and said, "Well, Corey's all cowboy!"

"...And all along, the good Lord knew
What the world would be like without a girl like you
Your love’s the kind of beautiful
That will never be surpassed
Now I know why He saved the best for last"

Congratulations, Alicia & Corey!

Pittsburg, Texas | Alicia | 11.17.15

East Texas is full of wonderful places for photographs, and Alicia's choice to have us meet her in Pittsburg did not disappoint!  Starting outside a beautiful little prayer chapel, we found ourselves to have quite a variety of onlookers walking past - everyone loves to see the bride!  :)

Heading out of town, we followed Alicia and her mom, eventually turning down a long winding dirt road. (Kay Lynn spent the whole time oooohing and aaaahing over the cows flanking the road on either side.  What can I say?  The girl loves cows!)

To our delight, Alicia had planned for someone else to meet us out in the middle of the field as well....  :)

Such a favorite of ours!  :)

We loved the back detailing on Alicia's gown - beautiful!

Stay tuned... wedding photos are up next!  :)

Longview, Texas | Langston Wedding | 11.3.15

A few hours before her wedding rehearsal, Maricela ran up the sidewalk to our front door, excited to pick up some last minute bridal prints.  Before leaving, she just smiled and said, "Things are crazy, but it's all good - I'm getting married tomorrow!"  That same excitement held true the next day, as guests streamed into the barn beneath brightly colored umbrellas.  The hayloft doors were open a bit, allowing a cool breeze through, along with the sweet smell of rain.

The hayloft was beautifully adorned with flowers and greenery.  (It was probably the best it's ever looked!)  :)

From wooden flower boxes to the bench crafted to be signed as a guestbook, we enjoyed seeing Boog's touches on the wedding day.  (Not to mention, he smoked the meat for the reception... and it was delicious!)

Also, we found that Boog's boutonnière is a new favorite of ours - painting a shotgun shell gold was an ingenious way to make it uniquely suited for the groom and his groomsmen. However, the most special touch was the addition of his grandfather's wedding ring.

Zayne performed his grown-up role as sign holder with excellence... but he's still his mama's baby.  :)

All of our barn weddings in Texas have taken place in non-working barns, which was not the case for Kentucky weddings!  :)  So when we discovered that for Boog & Maricela's ceremony, you could pet a donkey, a horse, and a cat on your way up to the hayloft... we felt right at home.

"... Love always protects,
always trusts, always hopes,
always perseveres.
Love never fails."

                                                 - 1 Corinthians 13:7-8

With the rain came a few changes in plans for the reception, but you'd never know it!  The shop next to the barn was literally transformed - becoming a gorgeous, intimate reception.

Boog & Maricela, you two have been a joy to be around.  Thank you for letting us celebrate with you.  We pray the Lord's blessing on your marriage!  Oh, and Zayne - we think you're swell! :)
