Jonathan & Addison | Longview, Texas | 6.30.18

We were already friends. But then they agreed to join our Vacation Bible School music team one year, and that sealed the deal. 😉 (Mom's VBS music team is next level kind of friendship. Weeks of painstaking preparation... leading up to one grueling week of jumping and shouting and singing... well, I digress.)

Fast forward a few years, and we're photographing Jonathan and Addison on a warm summer's evening. Why? Because, they're getting married!

There's always something extra-special about those last few minutes of light before the sun sinks behind the trees.  These next images are some of our favorites.

Gilmer, Texas | Gender Reveal | 7.7.16

"We're gonna bring our families together and fill these huge balloons with colored powdered and then Boog is gonna shoot them and that's how we wanna find out if it's a boy or a girl!"

This was the plan that Maricela revealed to us ... probably 6 months before she and Boog even tied the knot last October!  So when we got a message from Maricela that it was time to begin preparing for that gender reveal date, we were thrilled for the Langston family - and we already knew the plan!  :)

Everyone had a very confident guess, along with a dozen reasons why it must be a boy, or it must be a girl.  :)  So before the big reveal, selections were made and balloons were blown up according to the guesses.  There were a lot of blues, and a lot of pinks.  (Though big brother, Zayne, was all about the blue!)

After shooing the cows away, everyone lined up in the shade around the edge of the pond where the balloons were floating.  (Boog had his great-grandfather's shotgun for the occasion.)

And.... what will it be?

A boy?

Or a girl?

Hooray!  It's a boy!

Boog's grin was a mile wide.  Talk about a proud daddy!  :)

Congratulations, Boog & Maricela, and Zayne!  What a joy it was to celebrate with you!  We look forward to meeting your new little fella!
