Weston | an assignment | 10.25.13

I recently had the opportunity to be back with my good friends at IPS in Manitou Springs, Colorado. Towards the end of the week, Derks, our instructor, gave us an assignment - find an image from another photographer, and interpret it in our own way.  I scrolled through dozens of images, till one caught my eye.  It was a shot of a groom preparing for his wedding day - sitting in a doorway.  So I grabbed Weston as my model, and set off to find a way to reinvent the image I'd found.

This was our result.

 and what lies behind us
are small matters compared
to what lies within us."
