The Belgium House Wedding | Michael & Sarah | 10.22.14

Sarah: "I've been tearing up all morning."
Michael: "Why are you crying?  This is a happy day!"
Sarah: "I know! These are happy tears!"

No amount of rain could dampen the excitement on Michael & Sarah's wedding day.  Cousins and friends helped with dress buttons and jewelry clasps in the bridal suite, oohing and aahing over the finished product.  In the groom's room, the fellas laughed and joked with Michael, tugging up brightly colored socks and straightening bow ties.  Downstairs, Sarah's brother was busy in the kitchen, preparing ornate trays of food for the reception.  This was a family affair!

In the weeks leading up to the ceremony, Michael and Sarah's pastor had asked them for a Scripture verse they might choose to guide and challenge their marriage.  On the wedding day, surrounded by friends and family, he shared the verses they'd chosen.  Quite a testament to their desire to live their lives for Christ…

"Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord,
beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling,
for you have been called by God.
Always be humble and gentle.
Be patient with each other, making allowance
for each other’s faults because of your love.
Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit,
binding yourselves together with peace."
                                                           - Ephesians 4:1-3

Michael & Sarah chose some beautiful details for their wedding reception...

Talk about making a stylish exit!  :)

Congratulations, Michael & Sarah!
