Mr. & Mrs. Meadows | Longview, Texas | 5.31.14

He was 15, and she was 14, the time sparks first flew.  Fast forward eight years ... they found themselves saying "I do!"

The Dulaney's kitchen, on the morning of the wedding, had been transformed from a breakfast nook into a home beauty salon.  And talk about high energy!  Everyone moved around the house at lightning speeds, fixing hair and touching up makeup.  Well, everyone except Lillie, the dog, that is - who was totally unwilling to let Erin out of her sight.  :)

Great choice with the yellow shoes, Erin!  :)

What a sweet time! Erin's dad seeing her for the first time in her wedding gown.

Ethan and his guys were a great bunch to be around.  They arrived armed with custom cuff links and "guarded" Ethan secret service style throughout the day.  And it didn't take long for a full blown game of "Settlers of Catan" to spread out across the table in their room - keeping their full attention between their assigned time for pictures. :)

As wedding photographers, we hear a lot of ceremonies and speeches.  Each one is different, and each one special.  Ethan & Erin chose well when they asked a longtime friend, their Sunday School teacher, to officiate their wedding.  His words during the ceremony were encouraging and powerful:

"Ethan & Erin have invited you to bear witness
as they promise to face the future together.
This occasion demands our present attention,
calls for our deepest thoughts and our holiest emotions.
Marriage is God's masterpiece given to man.
One of the reasons God created marriage is so that
we can have a picture of how much He loves us..."

"...May you have many occasions when
you pause with dignity and pride to reflect,
not on the beauty of the ring itself,
but to be reminded by it of the
love that is pledged to be yours..."

Ethan & Erin, there are a lot of exciting things happening in your lives right now - including your move to a new state and starting new jobs!  Those things are not always easy, but we know that these words from Psalm 34:10 hold true:
"Those who seek the LORD will not lack any good thing."

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Meadows!  :)

Jill & Kay
