Alison | Tyler, Texas | 11.14.13

From the moment Alison first said the words "tree farm" in conjunction with her bridal portraits, we were on board, full steam ahead!  And oh how beautiful it was!  Rows and rows of crepe myrtles, weeping willows, magnolias... the list goes on.  It was the perfect place for bridals!

Oh, and the father of the bride, Mr. Doug, deserves a special thank you for hauling his grandmother's couch out to the middle of their tree farm... even though I'm sure he thought all of us were totally crazy.  :)

Grandmother, mother, and daughter... pretty special!

Alison brought a few things with her to include in her bridals. First up, is this guitar, built by the groom!  Matt built it for the wedding to be signed by their guests.  Beautiful!!!

Previously, we had heard about the short poems and drawings Matt would send to Alison.  So we were really excited to see she wanted to include them.  So sweet!

But Matt's creativity and skills don't end with guitar building and poetry!  He has authored (and illustrated!) several books for Alison, including, "The Story of Alison Arnold & the Handsome Man," as well as "The Handsome Man Goes to Texas."  If it's not obvious by now, let us clue you in - Matt adores Alison.  Can we just tell you how much fun we have had hearing the story of their meeting and then their engagement.  So glad to be part of this time!

Look at this veil!  First worn by Alison's mom, Sue Ann, it looks like it was made to fit with Alison's
dress.

A sidenote:  You wouldn't know it, but it was COLD and windy! Notice the willow trees bending back! Mom and Mrs. Sue Ann were wrapped in sheets and blankets we'd brought to protect the bottom of the dress if necessary.  Mrs. Allie Cat (an affectionate name for Alison's grandmother), you did the smart thing... staying in the car!  :)

Despite the fact that it was cloudy and dark when we were finishing, we couldn't resist getting a few more.  A favorite!

We won't forget all the fun from this bridal session, Alison.  So glad we did it!  Reminds me of a phrase often heard at our house about time ... you can't get it back!  This day was perfect for you!
