Rachel & Michelle | 6.24.13

Since moving to Texas (almost a year ago!), we've been so blessed to have a steady flow of visitors.  A couple of weeks ago it was my turn to show two of my dearest friends around our little corner of the Lone Star state.  Rachel and Michelle flew in from Eastern Kentucky, and I was ecstatic to see them!  We definitely couldn't let our time together pass without a little photo documentation...

[Oh - but just a little warning: if you plan on coming to see the Tanner family, be prepared for flight cancellations or delays, flat tires on the interstate, or lost luggage.  This time, it was lost luggage!]

So many expressions... and Rachel, you said you couldn't do silly faces!  :)

From the beginning, Rachel had her heart set on finding a cowgirl hat.  I teased her, saying that a hat was the real reason she came to Texas.  ;)

Michelle keeps us laughing!  :)

Y'all - really.  This is gorgeous light.

"...friendship is precious, not only in the shade,
but in the sunshine of life..."

The truth is, when you think of Michelle, you think of Rachel, and vice versa.  They are the best of friends... and I'm glad they're MINE!  Besides, we have a strange and wonderful relationship.  They're strange ... and I’m wonderful.  :)

"A sweet friendship refreshes the soul."

Rachel and Michelle, I am SO glad you came to visit. Texas won't be the same without you Kentucky gals.  Love you guys bunches!  :)  Come back soon, please!
