tipton wedding | 7.28.12

Weddings tend to be a family affair, and when you are part of that family, that makes it even better!  We had been anticipating this day for awhile!  And amidst our preparations of moving to Texas, it arrived sooooo quickly and was all over way too soon.  This beautiful old sanctuary (formerly First United Methodist Church) on Main Street, Mt. Sterling was the gathering place for Eric and Erica’s families.

We definitely sensed a little enthusiasm for the day ahead when Erica exclaimed,
 "I can't believe I'm getting married today!"

And what a beautiful bride!  The handmade Etsy headband, white ballet slippers, and brooch pinned at the waistband of her dress were simply beautiful when it was all put together.

Even a headband for Eric's daughter, Maeve!

The results.  A simply stunning bride!

Every wedding day is a long day, but Erica looked fresh and beautiful from the beginning to the end.
She was radiant!

The wait is over... Erica was so excited to spend a few minutes with Eric before the day began.

"Time is made up of captured moments.
Things shared and time spent together become
the memories that the heart never forgets."

Sidenote:  Applause to you Eric and Erica!  You made those pictures look so easy on a day that was instantaneous sweat temperature!  Way to go!

Our first opportunity to meet Eric's daughter, Maeve, was during their engagement session!  There are so many memorable moments in a wedding day, and this time with Maeve after the first look was one of them!  Eric and Erica had a special gift for her... a necklace to mark the time and occasion.

Note to Erica:
"I remember so clearly a Grandmother Lucille and Grandfather Adrian who absolutely
adored their Erica.  I remember as they held you and played with you and loved you,
how much joy and  delight you brought to their lives!"  - Carole

[The Bible displayed behind the bride and groom during the ceremony belonged to Erica's grandfather.]

"Your Word is a lamp to guide my feet, and a light for my path."
                             - Psalm 119:105

A favorite.  Hey, sometimes you just need to get a closer look, right Maeve!

First dance.

A whole lotta fun.  Notice the bride and spiderman groom! :)

And finally, some favorites of this new family!

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be
seen or even touched.  They must be felt with the heart."
                                                                                                       [Helen Keller]

Blessings to the three of you, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Tipton and Maeve!

Jill, Kay, & Carole
