Hallsville, Texas | Andrea & Cody | 12.21.18

The weekend Cody and Andrea were in town, we had a busy evening planned. Bridal and engagement photos back to back... in temperatures that were practically freezing cold (...50ish degrees...) for us in East Texas. (Our Indiana childhood is laughing at our current complete and utter lack of cold tolerance.) But Cody & Andrea were total pros - and we so enjoyed our time with them!

(By the way, Cody hid in the house while Andrea donned her wedding dress and traipsed across the field with the help of twin sister, Tiffany. So for those of you who are wondering, no wedding dress was seen by the groom in the process! 😉 We look forward to sharing some from the bridal session... after the wedding!)

We had quite a crowd of curious onlookers who did their best to be included in the session... much to Kay's delight.

Dove Hollow Estate | Addison | 12.13.18

Addison's bridals were our best kept secret in the months leading up to the wedding day. Now that she is a Vazquez, we have to hide them no longer!  😊 And Dove Hollow Estate, on a warm, green, summery day was the perfect backdrop. 

Jonathan (then-fiancé, now-husband) sent along a 15 pound weight as a way to be "included" in the bridal session.  :)

Happy 1 month of marriage, friends! 🎉

Kilgore, Texas | SENIOR: Adam | 12.10.18

Who could forget that summer in Alabama when we met our 1st baby cousin - a sweet-grinned, bobble-headed boy named Adam. The way we acted, any onlookers might have thought he was coming home to live with us at the end of our visit, rather than going back to Colorado with his parents. (We would have been happy with a baby "brother!" 😉) 

3 more cousins have joined our ranks since that summer, and somewhere along the way we must have blinked a few times. Cause all of a sudden, Adam is a senior in high school! Not only that - he's a senior whose e-i-g-h-t-e-e-n-t-h birthday is... TODAY!

Happy 18th Birthday, Adam Wesley! We are rooting for you as you finish out your senior year and make your college choice. We pray the Lord's wisdom guides you, both now and always.

Dove Hollow Estate | Mr. & Mrs. Vazquez | 11.17.18

Several years ago, we photographed Jonathan & Addison for the first time. That day, they were dressed to the nines, ready and excited for their senior prom.

Last week, we photographed Jonathan & Addison again. Only this time, the occasion was a bit bigger than senior prom!

Jonathan & Addison, we're so proud to have been able to watch you grow and mature over these past few years. The way you love and encourage each other is pretty special. We are so thankful for the way the Lord has woven your stories together!  We pray that Christ is first in your marriage and your home, always!

Jonathan, you win the sharp-dressed groom award!  

Addison, you made such a beautiful bride! (No surprise there! 😉)

Dove Hollow was such an inviting backdrop for the day's events. Coming through the woods into the clearing where the barn stands... gave off the perfect feeling of celebration!
