Kilgore, Texas | Buechter Wedding | 3.18.17

Jesse & Katelyn worked in the same office, so at first, they were uncertain about the idea of beginning a relationship... though there was definitely an interest.  As that friendship grew, they realized it was worth the risk, and took the plunge!

Fast forward a few years, and they're gathered with all their loved ones at a family home tucked away in the piney woods of Kilgore, Texas.  Aunts, uncles, and cousins ran in all directions, playing and laughing and putting the finishing touches on wedding preparations.  It was loud, but the good kind of loud that lets you know you are gearing up for a celebration.

Bella, you were a GRRREAT flower girl!  And you looked beautiful!  :)

Introducing... the new Mr. & Mrs.!

The reception was a massive feast!  Chicken that was literally finger-lickin'-good, huge piles of steaming crawfish, plus the best brisket we have ever tasted!

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Buechter!

Katelyn (Bridals) | Synergy Park | Kilgore, Texas | 3.16.17

We knew we would enjoy working with Katelyn.

This was evident immediately, as we watched her climb out of the back hatch of her mom's car. The skirts of her wedding dress gathered up in her arms, wearing mint Converse shoes, she hopped to the ground, laughing.  She and Mrs. Sandi were quite tickled at their predicament - the fact that they'd been unable to fit her dress into the passenger seat... hence the departure from the back hatch.  :)

A definite favorite!  :)

Stay tuned!  Katelyn & Jesse's wedding preview is coming up this weekend!  :)

Azaleas | Longview, Texas | 3.2.17

I could not live in the same town as my grandmother.

She would drive by my house, take one look at my crooked hedges, and I'd be instantaneously disowned.  James & Martha Tanner would go from having 5 grandchildren to 4 in a snap.  However, I might get to retain my granddaughter status if she saw the azaleas in the corner by the garage.  (ONLY the azaleas, mind you.)  Azaleas are one of Ma-maw's favorites.  Hers are always gorgeous, and when they bloom, it's like an explosion of color.  You can't touch the bush but where there is a bloom.

As you can tell, mine are... passable.  Passable enough to keep me in the family.  :)  As a bonus, they sure add a bright dose of color to a workspace!
