A close group of Cody & Andrea's friends and family gathered to celebrate at Walker's Mill - a place that truly highlights the beauty of these East Texas "piney woods." The rich, dark tones of the barn cut an impressive figure in the spring sunshine, and provided a beautiful backdrop for the Emmons' wedding day. Nephews running around in matching suspenders, and a big pile of homemade whoopee pies on the cake table were a few of our favorite details.  The ceremony was bright and beautiful, with both laughter and the good kind of tears.

It's always an honor to get to photograph more than one senior in the same family.  (Though it makes time feel like it's flying by!)  We'd been looking forward to Bailey's session for several months, and all of us were so excited when it fell on East Texas' first 80-degrees-and-sunny evening for the year!

The weekend Cody and Andrea were in town, we had a busy evening planned. Bridal and engagement photos back to back... in temperatures that were practically freezing cold (...50ish degrees...) for us in East Texas. (Our Indiana childhood is laughing at our current complete and utter lack of cold tolerance.) But Cody & Andrea were total pros - and we so enjoyed our time with them!

(By the way, Cody hid in the house while Andrea donned her wedding dress and traipsed across the field with the help of twin sister, Tiffany. So for those of you who are wondering, no wedding dress was seen by the groom in the process! 😉 We look forward to sharing some from the bridal session... after the wedding!)

We had quite a crowd of curious onlookers who did their best to be included in the session... much to Kay's delight.
